It's been a while since I reported an update on Christine. I pried my son's fingers from the steering wheel so I could do a little maintenance on the old girl.
Anyway, she got new valve stem seals and a valve adjustment this morning. I was getting ready to start charging the little town I live in for mosquito control.
The plugs looked really good, thank goodness, so I can blame most of the oil usage on the crumbled seals. Tomorrow , she gets a rebuilt Delco distributor, oil change and lube job, seat belts and a general cleaning. After that, we are headed to Wilmington, NC for the Back to the Beach car show.
Looking forward to a couple of days off!!!
