Wish I could read German. The 2nd link is to a ~11MB PDF article 168 pages long. It looks like a very detailed scientific report. It appears like a forensic analysis of the paint and body work on the car. The first link seems to be more of a highlight article of the same info.

What I found interesting was this car is body 14G-K5 #3806 and mine is #3818. The serial number is also 326 cars earlier.

      thanks for posting!

Jeff, It will translate via Google, but 168 pages is a LOT of work! Here is Page 20, as an example:

"The new Studebaker cars were in the European style of the press with much praise and
numerous international awards showered. As one of the most interesting
Exhibitions is that of the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1953 with the title
"Ten Automobiles." Selected were ten vehicles, all post-war models, in
Series were made and the standard of safety and performance are the same. the
Vehicles were selected for their "excellence as works of art" [Drexler, A., S. 1, 1953].
The introduction to the catalog for the exhibition is further described that
Automobiles are considered artifacts of the 20th century. Was considered decisively
the implementation of sculptural problems with the designer, the claim
on the characteristics of a sculpture and aesthetic criteria by mechanics and function
are more difficult. Pinin Farina's Cisitalia is chosen as the most successful design.
This so-called "Continental look" was supposedly at four other Italian cars
used. The remaining five cars will be attributed ideas of the Italian.
Interestingly, the Studebaker Commander is the only American car that
represented - amazing for an American show. Established and relatively sharp
This is critical so that the ordinary American cars of the time
Comfort of a living room and emulated by their high weight and high
Emphasis would be technically immature [Drexler, A., pp. 2 and 3, 1953]."
