  • lark convertible chrome trim ID please

I found these in my pile of trim. I can ID almost any piece of stainless but I'm not so good with chrome. I am pretty sure that these are rear quarter beltline mouldings for a convertible. They aren't broken or cracked but the chrome has some light pitting. Can anyone tell me what year they're for? And maybe a guess on the value? They certainly don't fit a station wagon.

    Thanks

Just guessing, but I'd be willing to bet those are the upper beltline, rear quarter pieces for a '61 Convertible. They're different from the 59-60 hardtop and convertible ones.

Yes looks like conv. They appear to have the tabs to join the wrap around stainless. Yes,seems to have the dip of a '61. No chance it's for a '58 HT ??

Certainly possible. I have no idea. There are no casting numbers on the backsides, either.

That would be my guess too. Look like the ones I had when I was doing my '61 convertible. They are very hard to find.

Here's a slightly better pic if it would help confirm it. I'll have them at York. Any ideas of what to ask for them?

It looks like a door and quarter moulding.[not 62-64 conv.] Does the quater moulding have the holes for the snaps for the boot?

They're both a left and right quarter moulding. No snaps, so maybe not convertible at all? '58 hardtop it may be then.

Almost positive, but not 100%. Looks like a 58 HT and 61 HT quarter window piece. Definitely not convertible. I believe the 58 HT and 61 HT used the same part.

I take it back. I found a picture of a '61 convertible moulding I sold in 2004 on eBay. It had holes for the snaps that hold the boot. See picture below. Too bad, the right side one, NOS, brought $173.50.

I don't have any measurements right now, but here's a '58 pic. Looks pretty close to your piece.

I would say $250 for the pair or $150 by the piece. If you don't get that at York, put them on e-bay.
