Skip Lackie would probably know, he seems to follow what Automotive Laws and licensing issues exist in different States as does studegary.
I seem to remember that many States including Calif. had some anchient laws that no body pays attention to anymore that may still exist about modifying ANYTHING on a Factory built motor vehicle from it's original configuration being illegal.
So added fuzzy dice, Fog Lights, fender skirts, lowering, custom wheels, wrong hubcaps, side pipes, modified exhausts, getting out of the car on the drivers side etc. etc. all may be technically illegal but never inforced.Last edited by StudeRich; 02-06-2012, 03:22 PM.StudeRich

Man, that's as cool as it gets! I just love it when someone has the good sense NOT to retain the hideous bumper guards! There is not ONE Stude that looks better with guards on it. None!No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.Comment

The only thing that jumps out at me in regards to legality would be the use of clear turn signal lenses from a '61-'62. I believe they were mandated to amber for '63 models. I like the clear ones better though.
