GT Hawk Prototype Hood Ornament

Well, the base would not have fit the production GT grille shell. Let's see the drawings for future Hawks. Can't remember what they had planned.

Wonder how the bird is attached to the hoop.

Is this a GM hoop and base?

It makes more sense that it was a prototype for the '66 Lark Types that were built with Hawk Emblems on the Engine I.D. Badges, Grille, Door Panels, Wheel Covers, Dash etc.

OR, the Brooks Stevens actual prototype Cars.

It was definately made in very limited quantity, I believe Mr. Biggs had one once.

The base is very much like the '62 & '63 Lark.

I found one mounted behind the grill shell on a Hawk hood at York. It is not home made, and the Hawk bird is a double sided casting. I sold it to StudeBob after getting it replated, I assume it's the same one
