Fuel System: Starting Over.

With my 61 Lark six cylinder automatic, I can not seem to get it to idle correctly. (This happened after I flooded it 10 days ago) Even though I have owned this car 21 years I should be able to adjust this car. This is the car with the oil leak, run on, and I asked on spark plugs.
Anyway could anybody give me a step by step on how to get this right?
These is a mixture screw and idle screw and adjustments on the automatic transmission linkage.
