Found this on the local news. Not so sure I believe it...

Sounds like the previous plan to import scooters from India, then little tin boxes with four cylinders and Studebaker nameplates.
In spite of the disdain I would have for this vehicle I imagine we should hope they have great success. If, a generation from now, every one has a cheap, super efficient vehicle with a Studebaker nameplate, it may instigate some interest in the quality collectibles that used to be known as automobiles.

Great video! There's another thread that discusses how to get younger people interested in Studebakers--well this would certainly do it! If it does happen though, it best be a quality car.

( Another Yugo wouldn't help Us at all!)

I couldn't get the link to work. Do you have another link to the same video?

I can read the article, but the video doesn't come up. Interesting -- the CEO is proposing some kind of meet and greet this year to promote the brand. I wonder if he has any contact with the Studebaker club...

I seem to recall reading here (I don't even remember the context) that someone recently did a copyright search, and SDC was the only current copyright holder for the Studebaker name and logo? If so, SDC should go after the new Studebaker Corp. for copyright infringement!
