hi all. can i get points and condensor for a 64 hawk v-8 at the parts store or do I need to go through a Stude vendor? I'm such a newb. Sorry.

Either place. I get mine at NAPA. They usually take a day to get from the warehouse. -
You could always install a Pertronix or Mallory reluctor setup, you will never have to worry about messing with points and condenser and if installed right, everything looks completely stock and costs about what 3-4 sets of points would. I really like mine.Comment

Right now I have an NOS set of points in my car, but the previous set came from NAPA. Eventually I want to put Petronix on the '40. I've seen and heard nothing but good when it comes to electronic ignition.Chris DresbachComment
