    Studebaker Confusion @ Publisher's Clearing House

    'Just got the monthly Publisher's Clearing House pitch for $1,000,000 per year for life.

    As soon as the first installment arrives, I'll be looking for an original 1950 Studebaker Champion equipped as described in the flyer pitching their model. Woo-hoo:

      Hmmm... a R-2 transplant in a bullet nose?

      sounds better than another SBC going in one.

          They just got the two pictured/offered cars confused/combined. At least it is a lot of exposure for Studebaker.

                  That Starlight should have somthing like "CHICKEN HAWK" painted on the door.

                  I just showed this post to my wife. She reached into the closet and took them out. She ordered them last year. The hood does not open to reveal the supercharged V8, but they are nice little cars.

                    I have been prompting PCH to offer a die cast Studebaker just about every time I send their contest/order form back. The two in their lastest offering have been around for some time, the 50 is a YAT MING, the Hawk could be one of three companies that made the Hawk in 1/43rd scale. But yes as stated IT's exposure for the STUDEBAKER name.

                      I think they have just been reading too many stories about the Chicken Hawk! They actually BELIEVED that is how they came! Lol!

                      They must have missed the later stories on the internet about the Dual Turbochargers though.

                        They forgot to mention that its body was constructed of fiberglass and that they are still manufactured in Canada.
