Well, I'm now officially buried in Studebaker stuff. I bought a R2 64 Daytona/4 speed, a 62 GT 4 speed, a 66 Sports sedan and several pickup loads of Studebaker parts. I have coming lots of sheet metal, bucket seats, radiators, fiberglass Hawk hood and fenders, some C-K sheet metal and more. I really have no idea what I bought until I load it up. I'm have a fire sale on the cars, $1500 for the rusty but running driving GT with new interior, $1000 for the sports sedan.(Ron Butts has first dibs on the 66) I'll accept offers on the R2 Daytona with lots of NOS parts and a Phantom Interior (seats covers/carpet/headliner. Pic's here

Just to reduce the volume of e-mails and phone calls on the R2/4 speed 64 Daytona, I'm pulling it off the market for now. I'm just getting silly offers and need to get it here and clean it up and then maybe offer a pre-ebay price. BTW, if you are looking for a running factory R2 Daytona with a rebuilt engine for 5K or so, set your time machine for 1980.

Now who would go to the trouble of rebuilding an engine and making it all pretty like that, then burying the car under a mountain of stuff? Man...

His dad owned the car and left it to his son. The son had the cars engine rebuilt at a shop, ordered a bunch of NOS parts and never got around to working on the car. None of the cars had much done to them, but he did manage to acquire a big parts stash. Actually, I'm glad it was inside and since the car needs paint anyway, no worries about a scratch or two. It started right up and ran strong, even still had driveway brakes. I've seen cars stored outside and rusted to the ground, so at least he saved the car and bought parts while they were still cheap. On this car, even the under hood chrome stayed nice, so I give the owner credit.
