Still not as nice as the "new in the crate" R1 a friend of mine has sitting in his back porch...not sure that friend wants me announcing that in public...so that friend will stay annonymous by me anyway, but I was in awe staring at a brand new, complete, flywheel to fan/oil pan to air cleaner, in the crate still with the Studebaker printing on the fan belts R1 just sitting there waiting for a car/truck project.Comment

I believe this is Paul Lausch's engine that he was trying to sell on the Swap pages last summer. I would not mind getting this engine but I have gathered all the parts and pieces to build an R1 myself and a machinist that owes me for my electrical labour that I have already done for him. Hopefully I will be starting my engine build in the next few weeks for our Lark convertible.
