The 2R5 is a 1/2 Ton '49 to '53 Pickup with the small Champion "6" (169.6cid) engine, the -12 indicates a 6 1/2 Ft. (Short) Bed, which is more correctly a 112 inch wheelbase.

Serial Number 005066 would make it a 1949 year model.

The starting Serial Number for 1953 2R5's was: 96,238, quite a few thousand built like yours, but later!

Go about a third of the way down in this history to the section describing the 2R series trucks to learn more about your truck.
