  • Studebaker Dealer found

I am new to the Studebaker disease but I apparently have a very bad dose. I have been looking for signs of studebaker dealers since I got infected and surprisingly I have found an old dealership right in my backyard. On Roanoke Avenue in Riverhead New York. I am investigating the history and will report back either on this forum or in Turning Wheels which recently had an article on old dealerships. If anyone wants more info please let me know.

Thank you all for the welcome. I am thinking Avanti, but I fo not know how to hide it from my wife. Maybe if I explain it is better to have a Studebaker fetish than a mistress. What do you think?

The only two diseases that come to mind as more expensive than Old Cars are the "Las Vegas Habit" and chasing wild women. If you have settled on an Avanti, look long and HARD before you make the plunge. Perhaps others have a different opinion, but mine is that many of those cars were not given very good care over the years. But then that could be true of a lot of old cars. However, many are not as expensive as an Avanti, initially. My advice: buy the best you can find and expect to pay for it.

Explain it to her the way Jay Leno does to his wife:
Better to have one wife and many cars, than many wives and one car.

Both cost about the same....There are those
on the forum that can advise you, if you really
