Since '56 Packards received electronic, push button controls for the Ulramatic, did '56 Golden Hawks have the same type shifter or was it column mounted ? Thanks, CarCrosswordDan

No, Dan; the push-button transmission controls were not available in 1956 Golden Hawks. All Golden Hawks, all years, had column-shift transmission controls regardless of being either automatic or stick-shift with overdrive; the only two transmissions available. BP
