  • Spray can at work , what a different look after only one can

Today I spent some time sanding the surface rust on the front of the 63 Daytona, no body work just sand it some and spray paint it with primer from a spray can, boy what a different look and only one can, also changed the grille mesh to a 63. just want to protect the metal after sanding.

Looks good. The paint and the hood made a big difference.

        Bob is such a tease.

seriously, though, that does look nice.

I did the same thing to my car.It looks like your spray can skills are better than mine.
Mind you, the car looks great now; it's 10:30 at night and it's been raining all day, lol.

What treatment did you use on the rust prior to painting?

Nothing, just powered sanded the area and wiped it down and painted it a good heavy coat, this type of paint won't hold up very good out side but still better than bare metal showing, like I said did not do any body work, just painted over a few small dents and the dam area is bent and will need to be fixed before a real paint job. One can not have a super lark sitting around looking ugly can they ?

Vive la difference!!! It looks pretty good. Don't stop now. Actually, I like the '63 grille better.

Lou, at $3.50 a can I can not go around wasting it that way, working on a retirement budget.
