  • My eyes! My eyes!

    This is the caption:

1963 Studebaker Avanti. Fastest production car in the world, at the time. Mine has been way more modded than any of my watches, hehe. Jaguar rear-end, 5-speed OD, and here is a somewhat dated engine shot... 304 c.i. Stude V/8 with intercooled Vortech supercharger, programmable on-the-fly fuel injection, etc., etc. Far too much to note here..

    This is the picture:

Reminds me of Barlow Soper's Avanti.

Whether it's one's thing or not, it sure is a masterpiece!

And/or Jim Lange's Bonneville Avanti, Bob; very similar. BP

I think that IS Barlow Sopers Avanti. Those pictures look a awful lot like the ones he shared in T.W when he was still doing the Custom and modified section.

Jerry Forrestrer could RETIRE on that project!

Chrome plated rubber? Maybe the radiator is rubber mounted to the motor? Ridgid {Rigid} motor mounts?

That's aircraft grade firesleeve on the rubber hoses. As noted there's many AN grade (aircraft again) fittings. It looks more like an airplane with the cowling open than a car!
                        Beautiful work, don't ya think?
