Last night I had an opportunity to speak with the owner prior to the current owner of the StudeBus I hope to purchase soon. I have posted a picture or two here before- but for kicks, here it is again~



What I'm hoping to find out is if anyone here remembers it from way back when. I'm told that it was being used by the SDC Chapter in the Phoenix area. I'm not certain how long they had it, but Gary thinks he bought it around 1985 at a Zone Meet they may have hosted. (well- he said "InterNational Meet" but I already know that wasn't the case)

I ask because I'd really really like to know who dropped the 259 in it,
and what else they may have done while they were in there.
I'd also like to know what else they may remember about it.
Maybe there are some pictures floating around...?

I'm sure everyone is just about to fall off the edge of their seats on this one, so I'll fill you in. I learned more from folks who have not seen it in 15 years then I've been able to get out of the current owner!!!

After contacting Chuck C, I was able to reach a couple of VERY active SDC members who maintaned this bus for the Grand Canyon Chapter. They were more then helpful with information. I now know why the 259 was instaled, and what other mods were done. I think one of the best things they told me was that the bus was bought new by a church in the Phoenix area, and that GCC SDC was the second owner. Having been in touch with the third owner I know that it hasn't been away from Arizona for more then about 15 years.
I also know that I want it as much or more then I did before...
