Body / Glass: 1962 & 1963 GT Grill Mesh Interchangability

Looking in their catalog, I see S.I. now has the 1963 GT Hawk grill mesh for $72. I wonder if it will interchange with a 1962 GT. I know it is "incorrect", but I still wonder if it would physically fit inside the 1962 grill mesh frame. Has anyone ever tried this interchange?

With my 1962 GT I don't worry too much about correctness, i.e. it already has a 1963 GT trunk overlay. I'd be interested to know if anyone has experience with the mesh interchangability.

Since the only difference in the '63 Grille Moulding is the cutout on the outboard lower corners for the newer side grilles, there should be no problem interchanging Grille Mesh.

Another difference is the mesh sets back farther on the 63.
