An episode (Drive Like a Champion) of Desert Car Kings aired this afternoon on the Discovery HD Channel about the rebuild of a '50 Champion Business Coupe. The show had originally aired in March. The episode also had a visit with Stude collector John Kroulik showing some of his Stude cars and trucks. It was a very entertaining episode, doing a nice restoration with a dark blue paint and lighter blue interior. Dents were pounded out, body repaired, rewired, rechromed and they even redid a swamp cooler to mount on the passenger door. The car auction was about $800 short of the 9 K reserve so they were going to keep it and drive it around to let people know about their restoration business. It was a good episode, worth your time viewing.
