  • It's the things you can't see...........

    Well I removed the seat in my recently purchased 52 2R Truck to check the gas sending unit and generally clean things up and look what I found; looks like the rubber fuel hose to the tank has some age on it...

    Got a new one from S.I; glad I'm going over everything before I put in on the road..

    Looks like you are making steady progress. That is one problem you might not be able to see...but you can often "smell" it when it goes bad. Keep on trucking.

      Good catch! You might also check ALL the other rubber hoses! Brake, fuel vacuum

        Hope the inside is not as bad as the outside.... check the gas tank for little pieces of broken up rubber that could cause problems with your carburetor and fuel delivery. Good luck getting on the road.
