  • Electric window wire

There is a black single wire taped along side the wiring harness on the drivers side of the engine compartment. My question: That is the gage of this black wire? Oh, for thr '63 Avanti

On the early Avanti's, there was an "extra" wire added from the ign. switch to the starter solenoid, (or from the solenoid to the coil)?? to supply 12 volts on start.
Someone else can chime in here,

If it's the PW wire, it's pretty heavy, around 10 gauge.

        JDP, Thanks,

52ragtop, the ignation wire is a light green wire, it's the one installed per the service letter to increase starting. later built avanties have this wire built into the wiring harness. thanks for posting.
