  • Production Numbers

    Hi all,
Does anyone have info on number of 66 F8 2 door Daytonas? I know it's somewhere in the range of 620 to 630, would like to exactly. Also how many were 6 and 8s.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kim

There were 2321 two doors, both Commander and Daytona. If someone has the Turning Wheels with Fred Fox's feature on '66s, that would probably have the breakout you want. If it was a Canadian build, Art/monomaniac has all sorts of breakout for the '66 production.

Thanks for all the input about the 66's. I too had read somewhere that only 620 F 8's were made. I hope that the low production number will add a little value to them. (FYI, all 66 studes were made in Hamilton, Ont).
I also would like to know where Serial # C132001 falls in the production sequence.

Again I'm thanking all in advance,
                Kim

I don't know who does that "Automotive History on Line" but he's missing quite a lot of information.
Breakdown for 1966 model production built in Hamilton
                    for total F8 vehicles
                    with 194 engine (6) and std. trans = 36
                    with 230 engine (6) and std. trans = 6
                    with 194 engine (6) and OD trans = 5
                    with 230 engine (6) and OD trans = 8
                    with 194 engine (6) and auto trans = 9
                    with 230 engine (6) and auto trans = 189
for a total of 253 built with 6 cylinder engines

                    with 283 (8) and std. trans = 25
                    with 283 (8) and OD trans = 51
                    with 283 (8) and auto trans = 544
for a total of 620 built with 8 cylinder engines

It will be rare no matter where it falls in the above table.
