Roy,
My cursory examination of the chassis catalog appears there was no difference between Model 10G and Model H.
There were however three different steering gears used in either model, depending on Serial Number and Hamilton, LA or South Bend.
Most associated column parts depended on whether the gear was Type S, TA or TL. These letters appear someplace on the steering gear body.Brad Johnson,

See Pg. 255 of Section 13 Steering, in the Studebaker '51-'54 Chassis Parts Catalog for 10G -Champion and H -Commander.
The Diff. on the Jacket is in the Trim level and Trans. type, not 10G or H.StudeRich

Currently, I can not find my book. I have 2 automatic steering colums. One came out of a 1951 Commander and one is still in the 51 bus. coupe champion . Both automatic. I want to put the Commander steering colum in the business coupe which is a champion. That means I have an extra automatic steering colum. I have motor and extra automatic transmissions for 170 motor.
