  • 88 Ford Bronco wheels

    Anyone know?
Will these wheels fit a 1955 Studebaker Pres Coupe?
    Thanks,
    John

    Full-size, "F-150-based" Bronco, no.
    Small, Ranger-based Bronco, yes. BP

A Ranger-based Bronco being a Bronco II. Were the Bronco IIs only available with aluminum alloy wheels or were steel wheels also offered?

They had a nice looking steel wheel~ looked a little bit like those Mopar ones from the early '70s. But I seem to recall the only ones that fit Studes came from 4x4s.

Can anyone confirm (or deny) that?

Maybe early on, but I don't think so. I've sure seen a lot of Studebakers lately on late-model Ranger wheels, definately 2WD. AFAIK, both 2WD and 4WD Rangers have the same bolt pattern, Studebaker's 5 on 41/2 BCD. BP

I must've been wrong then. I wish I could remember-
was it a 14 vs 15 inch thing, or a disc brake issue?
            I have no idea...

On the earlier ones 2 wheel drive Rangers were 14", 4 wheel drive Rangers were 15". I dont know when or for sure if that changed but I think the 94 4x4 we just traded had 16". I havent paid any attention to the later model 2 wheel drives. Steve
