  • Engine Run Stand Almost done.

Still need to put another coat of paint on it and get a radiator, fuel can, gauges, battery, and a fire extinguisher. Any ideals on a good cheap aluminum radiator that will fit the old Stude truck frame?

    Beautiful Job!

That is a very nice Engine Stand! I like it a lot. Your frame and Rad. saddle are from a TRUCK, so that will make the radiator install and selection a bit harder, than a common Lark, that drops in from the top.

Our's will probably be from a car, since we have about 20 vs only 5 Truck frames.

John, Made the same thing a few years ago but used an old GH front frame section, use the same cheap wheels from Harbor Freight and they always went flat after sitting any length of time. with engine and bell housing and flywheel all together it was one heavy mother to try and move with low or flat tires, thing was always in the way and never got finished so it ended up in the scrap pile, good luck with yours...Bob

Looks like something Deep'n'hock would come up with! I like it.

I used a aluminum radiator for a 66-67 Cheville on my 3R11. Got it from Oscar Radiator in Pheonix. Jim

Nice, Johnny B. Do you have some kind of outriggers for it? I could see that tipping over if you revved an engine on it.

I plan to build one when I build my shop addition. But like Bob said, I have held off due to space constraints. Here's the idea I fell in love with:

No outriggers Bob. I'm hoping it won't tip but if it's an issue I put chain sockets in my concrete floor in my new barn and can always chain it down if need be. Thought yellow would be a nice tough seeing as I'm a steeler fan and also the yellow and black Stude v8 will blend in nicely
