  • Lesley's Avanti

Yesterday, my wife Lesley and I went to look at a 1971 Avanti 2 that I wanted to buy for her.

I did buy it for her, but she says that I am just saying its hers, to get around her, to buy myself another car.

Congratulations Dave and Lesley, a lovely looking car. Hope to see you at our 40th dinner, if not in 2013 in Newcastle.

'Love the license plate, Dave. Do plates stay with the car in Australia?

I'll never get used to the hood bulge being on the "wrong" side for a RHC car...just weird! <GGG> BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

        G. K. Chesterton: This triangle of truisms, of father, mother, and child, cannot be destroyed; it can only destroy those civilizations which disregard it.

More weird Bob is that an Amercian owned the car out here for years, I think almost from brand new and the guy selling it use to look after it when he went back to the US. But the last trip when he went back he was coming down with an illnes and eventually never came back. so the guy here was selling the car on behalf of the estate.
