  • Lark Cruiser or DeLuxe?

I just bought my second Studebaker, first one that actually runs however. I was told it was a '62 Lark Deluxe but from everything I've read I believe it to be a Cruiser. It has the vent windows in the back and a wood grained ?printed? dash, both I've read were Cruiser only options. Internet searching hasn't confirmed this yet so I've come to the experts.

Vent windows in the rear doors would indicate a Cruiser. Best to let us know the body tag identification from the tag on the cowl under hood.

It is either a 62V-Y8 Cruiser, or a 62V-Y4 Deluxe or 62V-Y6 Regal, dressed up to look like a Cruiser.

If it is a South Bend built '62, it should also have a fold down rear arm rest, map pockets in the front and rear door panels, a Clock and a 289 "P" coded Engine!

It is a 62V-Y8. I don't believe the rear seat is original (in too good of shape) but it does have the dash clock and map pockets.

        Thanks.
