I love the story of how it was found languishing in a Portland, Oregon backyard, and its restoration in the mid-seventies.

Ignore the front of the car and it's gorgeous.

Ignore the front of the car and it's gorgeous. It is almost impossible to ignore that front. It just shouts:"Hey, look at me!"

Edsel had to bear the obscene jokes about the grille; the packard grille didn't.

The most beautiful car I have ever owned was a '56 Packard Executive. It is amazing how hideous the Request looks when it is a very similar car.

I think it looks pretty good myself. Even the front grille. Looks as good if not better than those huge lumbering four eyed locomotive looking Lincoln town cars of the late '70's and '80's!

Actually I like the grille on the Request. Packard had a strong sense of history and that grille harks back to Packard's earlier days in the late '30s. It's not hideous to me.

This was, if I recall correctly, an attempt to do a car with the original style Packard Radiator/Grille, not a bad attempt but not quite. At least both it and the Predictor are safe.
