I picked up a project 62 GT Hawk and need an engine and transmission. Would prefer an R1 with 4 speed. Any help in locating one would be greatly appreciated.

Since an R-1 would not be stock for a 62 anyway you would probably have better luck buying a standard 289 and doing some upgrades. An R-1 will be harder to find, but you never know when one might come up for sale."In the heart of Arkansas."
