  • Bolt on hop-op for Stude. Champion?

How much horsepower increase do you think the dual carb. and exhauxt with hi-comp. head would add to a 48 Champion that is bone stock with about 6,000 miles on rebuild[?]

Gary, you may have already seen this, and perhaps you are asking for other opinions from folks who have tried these mods. But, see what Bill Cathcart has to say about both of those ways to increase horsepower. Look further down in his article about modifying a Champion engine:
cathcartsstudebaker.com is your first and best source for all of the information you’re looking for. From general topics to more of what you would expect to find here, cathcartsstudebaker.com has it all. We hope you find what you are searching for!

Choose the "Articles" button and scroll down past the glossary of terms.

I would paste the quote from that article, but I think he would probably rather we visit his website for the information.
