May look at one in Woodbury this weekend. Any obvious things I need to check out besides whether the bottom of the rear quarters are even there :) and if the tailgate along the hinge area is rusted through? I'll take photos in case anyone else is interested and it's not daily driver material like I want.

Thanks!!

I have a full set of doors for this wagon and would be willing to tote them along to S.B.

When you say Woodbury, are you talking MN ?

Check the front floors, under the rear seat and the spare tire holder in the rear. Good luck

Thanks for the tips, PackardWagon, and the door offer, Guido. Luckily it's Tennessee and not Minnesota but the owner couldn't say how long the car had been in the state. Bought the car for his teenage boy but he's more interested in his dad's 55 Ford. Told me it starts right up, drives and most importantly stops. Then in the next sentence said one tire was flat. Supposed to be solid, needing paint and interior work. Guess I should be prepared for anything including dueling banjos. HA!

Mom and I took a trip to Woodbury this afternoon. Car is more than I care to take on with the 1950 Starlight Coupe rusty project taking up all of the two car garage right now. Maybe someone else is interested. Owner says it runs and drives but I have my doubts. It definately stops cause it was stopped here. :)

I see on Nashville Craigslist the owner has dropped the price on this wagon to $995.

Bob,

Here is a link.

http://nashville.craigslist.org/car/363353339.html

The wagon is on Highway 53 going from Woodbury to Manchester about 7 miles out of town. I was hoping someone in the club with more skills than me would be interested in rescueing the orphan. :):)Aren't a whole lot of the sliding roof babies still around. It is a sad and forlorn looking wagon though complete with gas cap rag. Owner says it runs but I have my doubts. He was hoping to be home when mom and I tooled up to look at it but must have had to go somewhere. Type of TN tags it has on it are at least two years old. Owner is very friendly so I'm sure he'd be willing to give a better description. If you come down and need some help feel free to give me a call.
