  • ENGINE SERIAL NUMBER

COULD SOMEONE PROVIDE ME WITH INFO ON THE FOLLOWING ENGINE SERIAL NUMBER---RK3I4---AND WHAT CAR THIS SHOULD BE IN?
    THANKS

Looks like an R1 Avanti engine (289cu.in.) built on Oct 14th of 1963

    Miscreant adrift in
    the BerStuda Triangle

    1957 Transtar 1/2ton
    1960 Larkvertible V8
    1958 Provincial wagon
    1953 Commander coupe

No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

My attempt at the second part of the question. I believe that it was originally for a base R1 1964 Avanti built in Oct., Nov. or Dec. 1963 with a serial number between 5366 and 5641.
