  • Fuel System: Sorted out a problem with my 63 Daytona

Fresh motor - fresh Edelbrock 1404, float levels adjusted, came off a runner stock 289, rebuilt distributor. Started up, rah ok above 2500RPM but would NOT idle.

Seems those fancy Aluminum intake manifolds aren't happy with metal gaskets.

Anybody know where I can find the composition gaskets?

    Duh.

I have some great composition gaskets, and heat insulating carb gaskets, and stainless heat riser block off plates, and carb mounting studs.
    Whole kit for $30.
    Or....
Sell you just the intake gaskets for $15 a pair.

      Sweet. Email sent.

Maybe this will give me time to polish the aluminum intake manifold....

Just kidding - wouldn't keeping that shiny be a nightmare?

        Nahhh....
        Go for it!
When your polishing is done, then treat it with a product called ZoopSeal...
