  • 1963 Daytona convertible questions....

    Hey guys,

So, I got this itch for a convertible, and I know of a "few" that have caught my eye for years. But, what I would like to know is this.....

How common is a '63 Daytona convertible?
How common is the same car equiped with bucket seats, red body, black top, and a factory 6 cylinder/auto combo?

I think it sounds down right goofy, a sporty car like that; originally having a 6 banger! I don't think I'd have the heart to change it if I got it, but I would definately warm it up

Last I heard, Michael Float in Florida had a '63 convertible 6 banger.

There's a V8 version on the swap page that's a screamin' deal. Westmoreland body off restoration, almost a #1 car, for $20,800.

Hi Dylan, my reference book says that 1015 1963 convertibles were produced but it doesnt break down the number with 6 cylinder engines. I wish I could find a good 1963 Daytona convert myself, I'd even trade a good 1962 GT Hawk for or towards it. I've got a black '63 convert with red interior and a 259 and 4 speed, but needs a body donor.
