  • 10th Annual All Studebaker Picnic...

...Two weeks from today and you're invited! If you're going to be in Northern California on April 30th stop by and have a couple of Hot Dogs, admire some beautiful South Bend iron and tell a few of your favorite Studebaker stories. It's our 10th annual pot luck picnic attended by members of Avanti LTD, Sequoia, San Joaquin and Karl Staple Chapeters of SDC. We will have our own parking lot at Grupe Park reserved just for Studebakers and Avantis. So get the old girl out of the garage, dust her off, and give her some much needed exercise by joining us in the park's southeast parking lot Saturday afternoon the 30th, 1-4:00, in "Magnificent"* beautiful Stockton Ca. Bring your own main course, a folding chair and a dish to share. A BBQ grill, plates, utensils, bottled water, shade trees and good weather will be provided.

Hey Bob, how about driving that door trim for my 55 hardtop to a post office?

Hope to make it this year Lou. This was as far as I got last year. About half way to Rio Vista on Hwy 12. Flat tire, no Jack, No cell phone. What a moron! I hope to bring the car this year.

I went to one of those No. Cal. joint chapter picnics a few years ago. I really enjoyed the day.
I used to attend SDC functions all over the country, but I have narrowed my travels lately.

You're in luck! There are several Redwoods in Grupe Park. I'm not sure how to "park" a Studebaker "in" a Sequoia tree but we will be on the corner of Landview & Seagull under the redwood trees and at the end of a long straight street. Perhaps we could "crash" a Studebaker "in" to one of them. Anyone want to try?
