  • IT is SPRING!

It must finally be Spring! I got my truck out of the barn and went to a Car Club meeting yesterday.
Good to be driving a Stude again.
Wondering how the roads are in Calgary today??

It's true~ even here in the States~ there was this slushy snow/rain mix falling here this morning-- enough to pile up on the roads even!!! I am not in Canada, but I can see it from here...

Very funny Brian...if my hair was long enough I'd be pulling it out right now. Our winter will not quit. I was just thinking on wed....yahoo, the last of the snow melted off my garage roof...finally, only to wake up this morning to another 8 inch dump! My front yard faces north and there is a good 16" inches of snow left to melt. My tranny project has really slowed down...have some hurtles yet to clear. Who knows, may be sept. until Im finished. Having fun in the snow...junior.

Here in SE CT our resident ground hog was sunning himself over the weekend. He hunkers down about 12' from our bay window staring at our cat who is inside staring back.

8"........ our dafadills are taller than that!
So I guess I should stop complaining about how cool it has been here in the Okanagan. Planning to cut my lawn on Saturday.

Last evening, I went to my first cruise night about 5 minutes from my home. I live on Long Island. Yes, Spring is really trying to rear its beautiful head.

Spring??? maybe....maybe not !! We had a big Shriner's sponsered swap meet here in Kansas City last weekend. 60-70 degree weather and sunny. Big swap for this area...... I've got potatoes up 2 inches already in the garden, yet Thursday night on the weather report they were talking about I-70 closed in western Kansas/eastern Colorado and I-80 closed in western Nebraska due to blizzard conditions !!!!! That's just 350-400 miles west of me.
