Now THERE is a rare car. AND just about everything is "knew". Wonder how he vented those brakes? Or installed that Chrysler tranny? Wonder if he'd give a refund or return if I didn't like it? AND it's a "GT SILVER HAWK STUDEBAKER GRAND TOURISMO". Hmmmm...looked turquoise to me!

It also looks like it has a 56-61 Hawk dash. Is that correct for export right hand drive 62 GT Hawks? Or was it just for GT SILVER HAWK GRAND TOURISMOs ?

            Hi Leonard,
I have a sneaking suspicion that I have owned this car before. I recognize the darkened headlining from a 62 GT I sold in about 1987 ish. It is from my home town in Melbourne.

Anyway the 62 GT is a Canada Car and Cycle Australian assembeled car. It came standard with a 289 in it. The dash is incorrect for this car and it would only have had a typical GT dash in it originally. There are many differences in this to a Yankee assembled car.

Note the correct bench seat, and odd headliner material. The headliner was originally off white. The headliner material is still original but, dyed for this car. Interior colours in 1962 were only maroon, green and copper. All dash gauges are correct for a 62 GT including the odd tacho.

            Regards
            Greg
