They didn't make Champs in '47 and the Champs had tailgates, not trunks.[)] Sorry, Brad. The devil made me say that.[}]
I know vendors have the springs for the C/K models, part #311401. What's the part number for the '47 Champion or Commander? They would be the same, and probably the same '47 through '52.

I think Bob Whiten in Oklahoma is still winding custom stainless steel springs, and I'm pretty certain he has made Stude hood springs before. I don't have his contact information readily at hand, but I'm sure someone else here will.

Your trunk spring part numbers are as follows:
#264475 Right Inner & Left Outer (15 1/2 coils)
#264476 Left Inner & Right Outer (15 1/2 coils)
These springs were used on all passenger car models 1936-1952. If you continue to have difficulty locating some, please let me know; I may have some for you. Thanks.

When you go to install the springs, remember the nickel trick.
Bend the springs over and slip nickels in between the coils.
This will expand it so you don't have to stretch it out.
When it is on the pins....
Pull the nickels out with needle nosed pliers.
Quick, easy, and a knucle saver (or in Ol' Dave's case, a forehead saver)
Hope the info helps.
