  • Interior light 64 Cruiser

My interior light does not come on when any of the doors are opened. Yet, I can manually turn the light on from the switch on the light. With the light on, when I close the door the light remains on. Any suggestions on what is wrong?

The ground wire (red cloth covered) from the door switches to the dome light is broken or loose at the switch. It seems unlikely that all 4 door switches are bad. Could be, not grounded from too much paint?

I would remove one of the door switches and ground it's wire, if the light comes on it's the door switch, if it does not, its the dome Lt. Sw. or it's connections.
    Hope this helps, Rich.
