  • 37 Studey bus

Starting the restoration of a 37 Studey bus and have to get tires to make it movable. It currently has 3 different sizes, all flat and shredded. Can anyone tell me what size it originally had? It is model #J15B 87 Serial # J15B-050 Engine # 19600. The engine I'm afraid is junk, I was told a newer Studebaker 6 will still bolt in. Anyone know what years will fit ? Bill

    How about some pics?

Since it is your money and not mine, allow me to dream a little with your money. With all the small expedited freight companies failing in this economy...the country is awash in dormant straight bodied trucks with great computer controlled turbo charged Caterpillar diesel engines. How about finding one of those power plants and hiding it under the hood of that beautiful relic?

Enjoy the results and share it with us. Good luck with your project. You might want to check in with the truck forum and antique Studebaker guys for more info on the correct wheels.
