  • Rearching dimensions - rear springs - 59 Lark wagon

Rear springs are badly sagged even with a helper. Found several threads near this topic but none seem to answer the question. I'm looking for the leaf spring specs for the rearching shop:

1 spring off the car - centre of eye to centre of eye
    2. Height from top to bottom - front & rear eye sitting on the floor.

The Studebaker Shop Manuals I have read do not show these specs because the Factory recommends REPLACEMENT, not rearcing.

Everyone I have ever asked how their re-arc job worked out, has said it simply did not last.

Detroit Eaton Spring has the specs for every Spring Studebaker ever used because THEY made them, and STILL do!

Andrew, You will find that the springs are not symmetrical. The rear end locating pin is back from the center of the front eye 20 1/4". True arch is measured from that pin. You run a line through the front and rear eyes and down to the spring will be about 4 to 4 1/2".
