Movie Deuce Of Spades and Studebakers

I got my copy of this movie yesterday and promptly ended my cabin fever by watching it. Spotted three Studes, possibly a forth. Since all the cars except a few were donated in the effort to make this movie. I was wondering if anyone on here or Calif. SDC chapters was involved.

This is a a great effort at making a period movie. Well worth watching. And if ya have a significan't it's kind of a chick flick also. So don't forget to include them.

One of the guys in the LA Chapter meeting mentioned seeing this movie recently and telling us how great it was. Alot of the filming was done in Fillmore CA. I haven't seen it yet, but am planning to.

I wasn't directly involved with the production of the movie, but I did do some work on the producers Ford which was in the movie and a good friend of mine played a major part in the production of the movie. Two of his cars were in it, the red Model A lowboy and the black 55 Chevy police car. Many of the cars in the movie were provided by members of the local car clubs in order to keep the budget from breaking the bank. My Studebakers weren't needed, but I was asked to provide my 55 Ford Fairlane, but I sold it before it was to be used in the movie. There went my moment of fame. Bud

That sounds like a "MUST HAVE" Movie! I have never heard of any Movie ever made by a ONE Woman Production team, I mean Faith Granger is an Actress, Producer, Director, Photographer, Set Builder, Grip, Film Editor, Sales Manager, Make-up Specialist, you name it, a one Woman Team. With only the help of dozens of Southern Calif. "Hot Rodder" types, that did volunteer work.

The odd thing is, judging by the many Trailers, the quality is not amateur!

It does sound like a good story line, that just "happened" for her after the purchase of her Deuce Roadster/Hot Rod.

I highly recommend it, my copy is on the way!
