The 40 year pins may be free, but anything else you have to purchase from the club. The pins are made in china. It was discussed here:

The Ozark Traiks SDC Club gives the members the pins for free.

I received my SDC 20 year pin from Gay Wittenburg back in 1992 free of charge.
