The Novi displayed is not from 1956. It's not in any configuration which ever competed at Indy, although it's somewhat like the Novi which started 33rd in 1958.
It may be a car which failed to qualify in later years.
Yeah, I know....picky, picky. But is a pink and purple Avanti correct?
Of course there's no Studebaker connection to the '56 Novi, but still...I've posted this before, but it's always good for another look. Here's the Novi at Indy in 1956, a distant fifth when the clip begins...hang on to your seats when Russo puts his foot in it.

1956 Studebaker/STP Novi?
They should have noted that the Car has been re-badged, re-I.D.'d and
re-Painted way later than 1956.
