It certainly is encouraging to know, per The New York Times, that "entry level cars run all the way up to $30,000."We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.
G. K. Chesterton: This triangle of truisms, of father, mother, and child, cannot be destroyed; it can only destroy those civilizations which disregard it.

"...it's the North African souk of auctions..."
Yep, it's the New York Times.
Given their general anti-car attitude, I'm surprised the NYT would run an article like that.
But they got one trhing right...Silver's is a great place for entry level cars and a few "just used cars"...i.e. semi-collectable newer cars.63 Avanti R1 2788

To my eye, they are frumpy. That's exactly what I love about 'em- not like those slick Big 3 compacts I get some silly enjoyment from the weird looks as I toddle along in my Oasis Green 4 door 60 Lark VI
Nice use of the word 'souk' though. I had to look that one upProud NON-CASO

Gotta say, I liked the word 'frumpy' as well. Paints a picture in my mind. Sweet, little, old ladies with chocolate chip and sugar cookies are frumpy. The little ole lady who knocks out a bank robber with her purse is frumpy. I love frumpy.
When my grandmother bought her 59 Lark, it was a perfect match. Her and her car. Her car and her grandkids.
We need to bring frumpy back.
