                              Naaahh, not awful, just 'one of those things' that separate the locals from the 'come from aways' (THAT is an Island phrase) You sometimes have to be raised on them to appreciate them. I wasn't and I don't. Them and the [shudder] fried pork skin things are a bit much for me. Then again, I could always bring some dulse down South, or some nice 'Digby Chicks' for the next time I'm offered them pork thingies. Mutual regional food item terrorism at its finest! I grew up with pork roasts with the crackling baked to a crunchy fatty crispness but those pork bits are ...ummm... an acquired taste.
