  • TurboStude website cardioverted to life!

After about 6 years of neglect (while working on Salt2Salt and Tribaker) I've gone thru all 28 chapters of the website and got all the hyperlinks working again. If you have never ventured in, it is a story about how to turbocharge a 47' Stude 169" flathead six which has been dropped into a 50' Starlight coupe. It is told in diary form, with all the mistakes I made included, and contains a lot of pics detailing how one could do it one's self with time, patience and maybe $300 more than a normal engine rebuild. Building this ultimately led to the Salt2Salt racer project. Let me know if you find any glitches.

Turbocharging a flathead six Yes, you can double the horsepower of a little 169 cubic inch Studebaker motor by adding a junkyard turbo! Get new content delivered directly to your inbox.

There's probably something good about everything....In the case of Thermoquads, it is the incompressible floats!
