  • Drove my Studebaker Day

It was perfect weather yesterday. I decided to drive my Studebaker. On my return home I stopped at the supermarket to pick up some stuff, as my wife is busy preparing for our granddaughter's birthday party tonight. As I was entering the car to leave, a gentleman walked up and started asking questions. He said he was a Nicaraguan of Italian descent and he knew the name Avanti meant "forward". His business is selling cigars and coffee to distributors and he said he owned the cigar factory in his home country. One of his cigars is named "Avanti". I came home with a sample of his coffee and a cigar! The coffee is great and the cigar will be donated to someone else, as I kicked the smoking habit many years ago. Interesting day!

LOL. Sounds like a good day! I think Avanti is also used for "Come in!" when someone knocks at the door.
