  • My name is glen....I have a problem!

Good Morning from the North Central "Zone"

My name is glen and I have a problem! I have been on this
forum, for only a 1 year and a little bit, but have come to
understand that I am afflicted with a diease, that seems to
be common to many of us: I have a need for another Studebaker!
By coming before this group and announcing myself, with the
affliction that I have, I hope, that I have taken the 1st step,
of many, to realize my Goal!!!! Another Studebaker.....

My Goal is a "Lark" being of sound mechanic's (I am not a
mechanic, by any means), Good exterior/interior (no rust) with
an AT and would like a V8....so at least I can venture down to
Phoenix, to the club, that I hope to rejoin, and then return
back up the hill, without having to be further right than the
    trucks are mandated to be.

This is my goal and I know, with your support and understanding,
I will be able to realize it! The 1 plus that I have, is a local
garage, who fell in love with "Charlene", while she was with me,
    and loves Studebakers.

            Glen,

My wife would comment that I have about a dozen and a half "problems" that she would like for me to dispose of! The good news is the only my '62 GT lives at home so most of the old "out of sight out of mind" line applies.

Please don't stop at one! Save the world, adopt a homeless Studebaker.

glen, See - I knew it was gonna come to this.[}] Check out the car Studehunter's talking about. Look at others as well. But once I have the bugs out of this 61 Cruiser, it'll likely be looking for a home.

I was hoping that someone would have one closer to
home than the other side of the world, as "Zonies"
know it....but will look at all....

Don't feel bad-I have the same problem! I wanted a Studebaker, and I wound up with TWO, one of which is exactly as you described the car you want! Still, two is not enough; even though I have no spare cash and no hope of a pay increase, I still find myself perusing car ads and classifieds, in the hope of getting a great deal on yet-another Stude, a truck maybe, or a Hawk, or whatever comes along. I'm no mechanic, either, but like you, I do have connections with people who have developed quite an affection for these automobiles. It is my dream to have my own little backyard "fleet" of Studes, one for every driving occasion-something to haul dog food in, something to be showy and flashy, a practical drive-to-work car, whatever.
