Oooo. Interesting stripe treatment...I like the extra Avanti script on the side of the hood bulge too...and even the wheels.

You can have my share of that size/style of wheel on older cars. I like the paint job though.

OMG - I looked <G>. To each his own! At least the wheels/tires can be easily changed. I also don't care for the commonly done second color in the roof insets.

My favorite thing about that car is the Twin Supercharged engine.

Is that a for sale sign in the lower windshield passenger side or a funky reflection from those store signs?

Could be the next car for you admirers!

This car is owned by forum member Karl Sparks. If I remember right, his dad bought the car when it was just a couple of years old. I doubt it's for sale.

Are you sure that this is the Sparks car? I have not seen it in the past year but don't remember it with the large wheels and paint areas,

I really like the extra Avanti script on the side of the hood bulge too, very subtle while being custom.
I don't miss the offset hood emblem much, I thought about leaving mine off, but I can see why Loewy and the design team put it there.

                          Nice car.

Yep, it sure is Karl's beauty, with the motor of El Mirage fame and VERY nicely personalized, I'd say.

Yes, That's definitely Karl's car. He's had those 20 inch wheels on it since I first saw it about 3 years ago. I've not seen one with that same paint scheme before. He told me he struggled over the decision to go with the 20 inch wheels but he's really happy with how it looks now. I happen to agree with him. They fill up the large wheel openings quite nicely.
